At Neon Gallery (Brösarp 2008), I was invited together with the graffiti artists Ekta, ollio, and rehn to paint the gallery interior walls with colors and sounds, resulting in the solo exhibition Battlefield 5.0. I attached contact microphones and recorded the physical interaction between painters and surface. After four days of painting, the amplified microsounds of spray and brush strokes were allowed to remain in the space throughout the remaining six weeks of the exhibit, as a sonic background radiation from the historic battles that formed the space. During the opening event, I performed a live musical improvisation with canvas, brush, contact microphone, and electronics.
