New interpretations arise through recontextualisation of what we find familiar. Street sights and sounds, comprising of everything from tram squeals, pedestrian traffic, and street vendors, take on a new light when placed into an artistic/musical construction. Subtleties of the stimuli that our brain has worked so hard to filter out take on an intrinsic beauty of their own. The everyday is no longer ignorable.

Re is a performance group that strives to do just this. Through microphones, cameras, and other sources, live input is moulded into a structured artistic work. Previous performances have focussed on street noises and images taken from the vicinity of the performance venue, as well as live TV and radio signals, both analogue and direct off of the net.
