The performance Random Access Memory extends the idea of cassette tapes as devices for storytelling and remembrance. By implementing a translation from musical tones stored on audio casettes into photographic imagery, an audiovisual language is created that merges tone and shape into a unified grammar. By manipulating playback from cassette walkmans mechanically and with analog effects, the music and its photographic reflections are edited and transformed in real time.
